ATTENTION: Our new shipment of slats are made of harder plywood. These have 13 slats that are 2 1/4" wide and are spaced 3" apart from one another. The slats are attached by 3/4" wide BLACK straps.This is a mattress rail and bunkie board / wood support set. Rails bolt onto the head and footboard and hold them together as a unit. The wooden bed slats lay across the rails to support a mattress. These bed slats eliminated the need for link spring or box spring.The bed rails are for twin size beds that already include head and foot boards. They're made of high tensile steel and have double rivets that hold the end plates on. That's important because if these are not strong the head and foot boards will move back and forth.This bunkie board and rail set fits a regular sized twin bed.
